Associated Adjusters, Inc. has been prominent in public adjusting in Detroit, the Midwest and Canada for over 50 years. Since its inception, the firm’s central purpose has been to provide the highest quality insurance services at a cost-effective value.

We do not only adjust single occurrence fires, windstorms and other perils. Over the course of six decades, Associated has assisted property owners throughout the United States and Canada with claims arising out of tornadoes, named storms and civil disorders.

Associated served as a loss consultant when a fire destroyed the facility of a Florida yacht builder. The fire destroyed the plant and five 100 foot yachts, which were in production and insured under a builders risk policy.

Associated’s principals served as expert witnesses over a three year period in a class action suit against State Farm Insurance Company. We called attention to and assisted the legal team that litigated and succeeded in causing State Farm to cease an adjusting practice that withheld 20 percent of payments to an entire class of claimants.

Associated served as the key witness in another lawsuit against State Farm Insurance Company because of State Farm’s practice of wrongfully limiting a policyholder’s selection of a representative. The Michigan Court of Appeals decided in favor of policyholders in 2011.

In addition, Associated has provided expert advice and testimony in other cases heard by the Michigan and United States Courts of Appeals. The Courts’ opinions in these cases resulted in case law favorable to all insureds.

In recent years, Associated has represented the owners of historical mansions in Grosse Pointe Farms and Detroit. One such home was a 1929 mansion designed by famed Michigan architect George Mason, who is best known for his design of the Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island. Another such home was the famous Fisher Brothers mansion.
